WolfEye's Next Game: A Dishonored and Prey Fan's Delight?

WolfEye Studios, co-founded by former Arkane Studios head Raphael Colantonio, is set to unveil more details about its upcoming game in the coming days. Colantonio has assured fans of his previous first-person titles, Dishonored and Prey, that they will be pleased.

Colantonio established Arkane in 1999, creating a lasting impact with the Ultima Underworld-inspired Arx Fatalis. This was followed by the exceptional Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, a title that unfortunately didn't receive the recognition it deserved. However, it was Dishonored that truly catapulted Arkane to prominence. After the release of the underrated Prey, Colantonio left Arkane to found WolfEye, which in 2022 launched Weird West, a compelling blend of immersive sim and isometric RPG elements.

In 2023, Colantonio's WolfEye colleague, and fellow Arkane veteran, Julien Roby announced that the studio had secured a deal with venture fund Galaxy Interactive to develop a "more ambitious" new game. Over a year later, we're finally getting a glimpse of what this ambitious project might entail.

"We'll reveal a bit more about our next game in a few days," Colantonio shared on Twitter. "Fans of the previous 1st person games I was involved with (Dishonored and Prey) will be happy."

This news has certainly piqued the interest of many, especially those who appreciate the immersive gameplay and intriguing narratives of Colantonio's past work.

While the initial reveal won't delve deep into the specifics of the game, it's still an exciting development. Colantonio acknowledged the omission of his earlier titles in his initial tease, stating in a separate tweet that he "could have mentioned them too. But only so many characters in a tweet."

Roby has also joined in the teasing, adding further fuel to the anticipation surrounding the upcoming reveal.

Despite the excitement, it seems we won't be getting a full-fledged look at the new game just yet. Colantonio explained that the studio is currently showing it to "industry partners" but plans to hold back on any public or press unveilings for now.

However, Colantonio's eagerness is palpable, and his enthusiastic "Can't wait though" resonates with many who are eagerly awaiting any new information about WolfEye's upcoming project.
