Once Human: Developer Addresses Player Concerns & Future Plans

Starry Studio, the developers behind the colossal Steam survival game *Once Human*, have addressed concerns raised by the community regarding character, controls, and camera. While a first-person perspective is not currently planned, the studio has confirmed they are exploring the possibility of incorporating "FPS elements" into future scenarios and game modes.

This update comes following extensive feedback from the community, particularly regarding the game's movement mechanics. Many players have voiced their dissatisfaction with the perceived sluggishness of the character. In response, Starry Studio has confirmed they are working to eliminate the 0.3-second delay before movement begins, with the improvement planned for a future update.

The developers are also addressing the vaulting system, which currently sees the character vaulting and jumping simultaneously. This will be changed so that the character only begins vaulting after reaching a specific height. These changes, alongside enhancements to movement and vaulting, are scheduled for release in mid-August.

Starry Studio has also assured players that a cursor delay issue has been resolved, encouraging players to report any persisting problems. The team has also addressed concerns regarding 3D motion sickness and the need to hold the sprint button. Both of these issues can be adjusted in the game settings, offering players greater control over their gameplay experience.

Controller support for *Once Human

is also in the works, set for release in August. This will offer a more accessible option for players who prefer a gamepad experience.

Since its launch, Starry Studio has been praised for their open communication and swift responses to player feedback. The developer has already implemented changes to compensate for queue times and introduced a major cosmetic overhaul, demonstrating their willingness to engage with the community.

This commitment to addressing player concerns and incorporating their feedback has earned *Once Human

a loyal player base. The game continues to evolve, and with Starry Studio's dedication to open communication and responsiveness, it seems well-positioned for a successful future.
