Nvidia App Gets a Boost: Display Settings, RTX Video Super Resolution & More

Nvidia's all-in-one app, which combined GeForce Experience and Control Panel earlier this year, has received a new beta update with a host of exciting features. The update, detailed in a recent blog post, introduces new display and RTX video functionalities, enhanced AI features, and streamlined access to popular Nvidia services.

One of the key additions is the integration of Display and RTX Video features directly within the GPU Control Center. This allows users to easily adjust settings like resolution and refresh rate for their connected monitors, offering greater control over their visual experience.

The update also brings RTX Video Super Resolution (VSR) and RTX Video HDR to the forefront. RTX VSR, introduced last year, leverages the power of RTX GPUs to upscale blurry YouTube videos to 4K resolution, delivering a sharper and more immersive viewing experience. RTX Video HDR, meanwhile, introduces new sliders for adjusting peak brightness and saturation, allowing users to fine-tune the HDR output for optimal image quality.

Another notable inclusion is the streamlined download and installation process for ChatRTX, Nvidia's AI chatbot demo. ChatRTX allows RTX GPU owners to run a personal AI chatbot locally on their computers, eliminating the need for a web browser. The integration into the Nvidia app makes accessing and using this innovative AI technology even more convenient.

Beyond these new features, the Nvidia app continues to provide a user-friendly platform for accessing and managing various Nvidia services. The app offers a revamped overlay for GeForce Experience, providing quick access to tools and features like Nvidia GeForce Now and Nvidia Broadcast. It also simplifies driver installation, eliminating the need for logins and making it easier to redeem rewards and bundles.

Overall, this new beta update demonstrates Nvidia's commitment to enhancing its all-in-one app, providing a comprehensive and accessible platform for managing and optimising the full potential of their GPUs.
