Marvel Rivals: Exclusive Skin Now Easier to Grab, But Time is Ticking

Battle passes are a staple of most modern multiplayer games, offering players a chance to unlock rewards by completing various challenges. Marvel Rivals, a new contender in the superhero arena, is no exception. Since its Closed Beta launch, players have been vying to unlock the coveted Cyan Clash Venom skin, a permanent reward available during the beta. A recent update has made this quest significantly easier, but players need to act quickly.

The Marvel Rivals Closed Beta has been a hit with superhero enthusiasts, drawing a peak of 50,000 players. However, the game has not been without its challenges. While balance issues among the characters have been a primary concern, the grind for permanent rewards within a closed beta has also sparked controversy. Missing out on an exclusive skin can be a bitter pill to swallow.

To address this, NetEase, the game developer, announced that players can now earn Galacta's Quest XP as a reward for completing repeatable missions. This change, which came into effect on Friday 2nd August, has significantly impacted the battle pass progression. With only four daily missions offering a maximum of 160 XP each and a limited selection of one-time challenges, reaching level 30 for the coveted Cyan Clash Venom skin was previously a time-consuming endeavour.

Now, players can earn substantial XP through repeatable missions, effectively accelerating their progress. While this is a positive change, players who were granted access to the beta in the latter stages of the testing period may still find themselves pressed for time, as the closed beta is scheduled to conclude on Monday 5th August.

The exclusive Cyan Clash Venom skin is not the only prize on offer. Players who have already secured this coveted reward can still enjoy the later battle pass rewards, such as a new Thor skin. However, these rewards are not permanent and will be reset upon the conclusion of the beta. When Marvel Rivals officially launches, players will start fresh, without their beta progress or rewards.

This change offers a welcome boost to the players' battle pass journey, providing a much-needed opportunity to secure the exclusive Cyan Clash Venom skin. However, the clock is ticking, and those wishing to claim this coveted reward will need to act swiftly.
