Since launch, the Helldivers community has shown its strength and resilience against the ever-growing threat of the Automatons and Terminid. We've seen you expertly handle every challenge, from flying enemies to the Terminid Control System, even saving the children of Super Citizen Anne's Hospital. Now it's time for us to give back with a content update that's bigger than ever before.
Super Helldive: The Ultimate Challenge
The insatiable desire of our players for more action, more bugs, more liberation, and more destruction has led us to introduce Combat Rating 10 - Super Helldive. This is our most challenging, relentless difficulty level yet, designed to provide the ultimate test for even the most seasoned Helldiver. Brace yourself for a truly intense experience, and reap the rewards of your bravery.
New Missions & Objectives
The "Escalation of Freedom" update also delivers on your desire for mission variety. Get ready for brand new objectives and larger enemy outposts for both bots and bugs. These fortified outposts demand strategic coordination and teamwork, offering the chance to earn unique Super Sample rewards.
Don't worry, newcomers - many of the new objectives will be playable on other difficulty levels, meaning you can enjoy the fresh gameplay right away.
New Enemies: Old and New
The threat to liberty is escalating with the introduction of new and returning enemies. The fan-favourite Impaler makes a triumphant return, bringing its imposing size and destructive power to bear on the battlefield. You won't be able to run from the bugs this time â prepare to face the Impaler head-on.
The Terminid ranks are bolstered by the Spore Charger, a shrouded menace that lurks in the fog, ready to ambush unsuspecting Helldivers. And if you thought the Brood Commander was tough, you haven't seen anything yet. The Terminid Alpha Commander is bigger, meaner, and won't hesitate to call in reinforcements.
The Automaton uprising also continues, with the formidable Rocket Tank joining the ranks, along with a few other bot surprises we're keeping under wraps for now.
Dangerous New Environments
Venture into the treacherous swamps, shrouded in fog and with a haunting atmosphere. The blackened trees obscure the light, making visibility limited and highlighting the importance of your flashlight. The enemy could be lurking anywhere â be vigilant and be ready for anything.
Quality of Life Improvements
We're also addressing issues raised by the community, such as the problem of grief kicking in Helldivers 2. A new system will ensure that players who are unfairly kicked from a session will spawn in a new session as the host, retaining all the team's loot. This means everyone can leave with the rewards they earned, regardless of the actions of others.
Beyond this, we're implementing other quality of life upgrades, including major improvements to the social menu, making diving with friends easier than ever.
