FiveM & RedM: Fuel Consumption, Discord Control, and New Features

FiveM & RedM: Fuel Consumption, Discord Control, and New Features

The team behind FiveM, Cfx.re, have released their monthly community pulse blog post, outlining new features and updates for both FiveM and RedM. Following their acquisition by Rockstar Games almost a year ago, Cfx.re continues to actively develop these platforms, introducing notable additions this month.

Fuel Consumption Mechanic

For the first time, FiveM now offers a realistic fuel consumption mechanic for vehicles. Previously, GTA V lacked this feature, but players can now utilize native values that can be adjusted to simulate fuel depletion. This adds a new level of realism and challenges to server gameplay.

RedM Upgrades

Alongside FiveM's compatibility with the latest "Bottom Dollar Bounties" GTA V update, RedM has also received support for the newest Red Dead Redemption 2 patch. The blog post highlights significant contributions from developers, including increased game pools and the One Argument List feature. Cfx.re states they are actively working on further improvements to the RedM framework.

Development Experiments

Cfx.re is launching a new "Experiments" section on their forums, dedicated to early and unstable development builds for both client and server. This initiative aims to gather community feedback and reduce downtime and issues during official releases. Players interested in accessing these experimental builds can request access on the dedicated page, providing valuable input to Cfx.re.

Discord Feature Updates

FiveM and RedM platforms have long supported Discord's rich presence integration, allowing players to showcase their in-game activities on their Discord profiles. This includes information like server name and play session duration. Now, players can customize their Discord activity status with three different levels of control:

Enabled: Displays the current server name and allows server owners to customize the activity status.

Hide Status: Only shows that the player is currently playing RedM or FiveM.

Disabled: Completely disables the Discord activity status for RedM or FiveM.

Beyond these core updates, txAdmin 7.2 was released with a revamped dashboard, alongside numerous bug fixes for FiveM. The full patch notes are available on the Cfx.re forum.

Additionally, a new GTA RP server has been launched, and the popular NoPixel server released new packs to enhance driving experiences and other features on FiveM servers.
