_Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club_ invites players to step into the shoes of an assistant private investigator tasked with solving a brutal murder linked to a chilling urban legend. A student has been found dead, his head covered in a paper bag bearing an eerie smiling face, eerily reminiscent of the victims of "Emio, the Smiling Man" – a notorious killer from local folklore.

As players delve deeper into the investigation, they must grapple with the unsettling possibility of a serial killer's return, or a copycat crime inspired by the chilling legend. Is this case connected to a string of unsolved murders from 18 years ago, or is the story of Emio merely a sinister source of inspiration?

Joining forces with the Utsugi Detective Agency, players will encounter familiar faces, including the returning protagonist from previous games, alongside Ayumi Tachibana, who is playable for the first time in the series. This interactive drama features a cast of intriguing characters, each with their own secrets and motivations.

Players must carefully navigate conversations, analyse evidence, and piece together clues to decipher the truth. Every interaction, every piece of information, and every decision made could hold the key to unlocking the case's dark secrets.

_Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club_ is set to launch on Switch on 29th August. The release of this demo offers a compelling opportunity for players to dive into the captivating world of the Famicom Detective Club and immerse themselves in this thrilling mystery before the full game's launch.
