Bloodborne on PC? Kai Cenat's Stream Sparks Hope for Fan-Favourite

Streaming superstar Kai Cenat is currently diving headfirst into the gothic world of Bloodborne, the critically acclaimed 2015 PlayStation exclusive. While the streamer is clearly enjoying his foray into FromSoftware's back catalogue, his gameplay has also sparked a wave of hope amongst fans for a much-requested remaster and PC port.

During a recent stream, Cenat was asked about the possibility of him influencing Sony and FromSoftware to bring Bloodborne to PC. He humbly responded, "I don't think I have the power to do that, but I definitely have the power to bring attention to a topic within the Souls community." He continued, "I feel like the developers have watched my every move when it came to me playing these games. So the least that I can do is try to push the narrative for something to happen."

Cenat then issued a direct plea to the relevant parties: "PlayStation, FromSoft, this is one of the most highly-requested games for a remaster and a PC version. I haven't even touched it. Just from me entering this community, I want to go ahead and be like 'Hey, can you please do something.'"

The possibility of a Bloodborne PC port has been a hot topic for years, with many fans eagerly awaiting the chance to experience the game's unique gothic atmosphere and challenging combat on their desktops. Earlier this year, FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki expressed his own desire for a PC port, jokingly admitting to PC Gamer senior editor Wes Fenlon, "If I say I want one, I'll get in trouble, but it's nothing I'm opposed to."

However, the decision ultimately rests with Sony, who own the rights to the Bloodborne IP. While a remaster would undoubtedly generate significant excitement, some fans are wary of the potential for changes to the game's art style, citing the recent Demon's Souls remake as a cause for concern. Many are instead hoping for a simple resolution bump and high frame rate mode to enhance the game's visuals and performance.

Whether or not Sony will heed the growing calls for a Bloodborne PC port remains to be seen. However, Cenat's enthusiastic playthrough has undoubtedly thrust the game back into the spotlight, giving fans renewed hope for the beloved title's future.

As Cenat embarks on his journey through Yharnam, it'll be interesting to see how he handles the game's brutal challenges, particularly after his recent marathon playthrough of Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. His reactions and commentary could further fuel the demand for a Bloodborne PC port, adding even more pressure on Sony to consider the possibility.
