Simone Biles, the most decorated American gymnast of all time, has continued her dominance at the Paris Olympics, adding three gold medals to her already impressive collection.
With her latest gold in the women's vault, Biles has now earned a remarkable 10 Olympic medals, including a staggering seven gold, one silver, and two bronze. This feat places her as the fifth woman in history to achieve at least 10 Olympic medals in women's gymnastics.
The 27-year-old Biles is now tied with Allyson Felix for the second-most gold medals amongst U.S. women, only trailing behind Katie Ledecky and Jenny Thomson who both boast eight gold medals. Ledecky still has one event to compete in at the Paris Olympics, the 800m freestyle on Saturday.
Biles, however, isn't finished yet. She has two more events to compete in at the Olympics: the floor exercise and balance beam on Monday, August 5th.
Biles' impressive performance in the vault finals on Saturday saw her and teammate Jade Carey claim two of the top spots. While Biles has not ruled out competing in the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles, she will be 31 by then.
