Scheffler Pockets £6.4 Million Bonus as Comcast Business Tour Top Dog

Scottie Scheffler has secured a hefty £6.4 million bonus for topping the Comcast Business Tour Top 10 standings in the 2024 PGA Tour's FedEx Cup regular season. This marks the second time in three years that the 28-year-old World No. 1 has claimed the coveted top spot.

Scheffler's impressive season saw him rack up six tournament victories, including four prestigious events, and a second grand slam triumph at The Masters. His dominance culminated in a gold medal win at the Paris Olympics. The Texan's six-win season, a feat unmatched since Tiger Woods in 2009, solidified his position as one of the sport's leading players.

"It's been a phenomenal year for me both on and off the course," Scheffler remarked. "Finishing the regular season as the Comcast Business Tour Top 10 leader is a true honour. I consistently strive to perform and compete at my best, and this award reflects the dedication and hard work I put in throughout the season, with the unwavering support of my family and team."

Scheffler's success was closely followed by Xander Schauffele, who finished second and received a £4.8 million bonus after claiming his first two major victories at the PGA Championship and The Open. Rory McIlroy (£3.8 million) secured third place, while Collin Morikawa (£3.5 million) and Wyndham Clark (£3.2 million) completed the top five.

"Scottie Scheffler's season has been nothing short of phenomenal," stated Eileen Diskin, chief marketing officer for Comcast Business. "From his historic back-to-back win at The Players Championship to now topping the Comcast Business Tour Top 10, he's truly demonstrated his exceptional talent. We're thrilled to see him at the pinnacle once again alongside the other elite athletes who have earned their place this year."

Scheffler's £6.4 million bonus reflects his remarkable achievements on the course and further highlights his status as a dominant force in the world of professional golf. His consistent performance and captivating displays have made him a fan favourite and a true contender for the title of the world's best golfer.
