The Olympic Games Paris 2024 will see the thrilling spectacle of triathlon take centre stage, blending swimming, cycling, and running in a spectacular setting that showcases some of the city's most iconic landmarks.
Three distinct triathlon events will be held during the Games. The men's race will kick off on Tuesday 30 July, taking athletes on a captivating journey through the heart of Paris, followed by the women's race the very next day, 31 July. The mixed team relay will then bring the action to a crescendo on Monday 5 August, with teams of triathletes battling it out for the coveted gold. All three races are set to commence at 8:00 a.m. CEST.
The individual events will begin with a daring plunge into the Seine River, beneath the elegant Pont Alexandre III. Athletes will then navigate the waters, gliding under the imposing Pont des Invalides before returning to their starting point.
The race continues along Quai D'Orsay and Boulevard Saint Germain, with a graceful sweep past the Musee DâOrsay, before heading back towards the starting point. The athletes will complete seven laps of this challenging bike course before transitioning to the final leg â the run.
