Newcastle United Unveils Mint-Fresh Third Kit

Newcastle United has today unveiled its new third kit for the 2024/25 season, featuring a reimagined version of the club's iconic crest from the 1980s.

Inspired by the 1990/00 adidas away kit, the design boasts a clean, minimalist aesthetic with a crisp white base. A vibrant pop of mint green on the sleeves and side panels adds a bold dose of retro energy, further complemented by adidas' three stripes on the shoulders.

The new kit, available now at the club's official store at St. James' Park and online at shop.newcastleunited.com, will make its on-pitch debut when the men's team faces Yokohama F. Marinos in Tokyo, Japan on Saturday 3rd August.

Peter Silverstone, Chief Commercial Officer at Newcastle United Football Club, commented: "adidas possesses a deep understanding of Newcastle United's DNA, which is evident in the design of our new third kit. From the use of the club's nostalgic 1980s crest to a design evoking Sir Bobby Robson's team at the turn of the millennium, it's an innovative approach to a classic kit. We're excited to see the team wear it for the first time in Japan and witness our fans around the globe proudly sporting their colours throughout the exciting season ahead."

Inigo Turner, Design Director at adidas Football, shared his vision: "The 2024/25 third kit perfectly blends classic and contemporary design. We aimed to tap into the raw energy and nostalgia of the '90s, an era synonymous with both adidas EQT and the re-emergence of Newcastle United's iconic presence on the pitch. This kit is a love letter to that era, merging classic design elements with a modern streetwear edge that resonates with fans of all generations."

Crafted for performance, the lightweight jerseys feature the latest adidas HEAT.RDY technology, optimised to provide Newcastle United's world-class players with the ultimate comfort and confidence to perform under pressure. The fan version of the jersey incorporates AEROREADY technology, using sweat-wicking or absorbent materials to keep the body feeling dry.
