Man Utd Seal Ugarte Deal, McTominay Set for Napoli Move

Manchester United have secured a deal for highly-rated midfielder Manuel Ugarte, with the 23-year-old set to join the Red Devils from Paris Saint-Germain. A source has confirmed to ESPN that the transfer fee will be an initial £42 million, with a further £8 million in potential add-ons.

Ugarte is scheduled to arrive in Manchester on Tuesday to undergo a medical and complete the transfer formalities. Pending international clearance, the Uruguayan could potentially make his debut in the highly anticipated clash against Liverpool at Old Trafford on Sunday.

United's pursuit of Ugarte has been a key focus this summer transfer window. The deal takes the club's overall spending for the current transfer window to over £180 million.

Meanwhile, Scott McTominay appears to be on his way out of Old Trafford, with a move to Napoli imminent. The Italian side has agreed a £25 million fee with Manchester United, and McTominay has been granted permission to negotiate personal terms. Sources have indicated that the Scottish midfielder could travel for his medical as early as Tuesday.

Ugarte's desire to move to Manchester United was clear, with the player expressing his wish to join the Red Devils. This led to his omission from PSG's opening two Ligue 1 fixtures of the season against Le Havre and Montpellier.

The 23-year-old midfielder joined PSG last season from Sporting CP for a fee of £50 million and made 37 appearances across all competitions.

Despite the recent arrivals, Manchester United are not finished in the transfer market. Further player departures are expected before the transfer deadline on Friday. Hannibal Mejbri is poised to join Championship side Burnley after completing a medical on Monday.

The club is also seeking a buyer for defender Victor Lindelöf, although his move has been complicated by a toe injury that has sidelined him.

Winger Jadon Sancho remains a target for Juventus and Chelsea. However, the England international will only be allowed to leave before the deadline if a suitable offer is received.
