Kafaji Earns First Start as Arsenal Women Face Chelsea

Jonas Eidevall has opted for a shake-up in the Arsenal Women's starting lineup for their pre-season friendly against Chelsea on Sunday. Rosa Kafaji will make her first start for the Gunners, one of five changes to the side that secured a 2-1 victory over Washington Spirit last weekend.

Steph Catley, Laura Wienroither, Kyra Cooney-Cross, and Caitlin Foord join Kafaji in the starting XI, replacing Vivienne Lia, Katie Reid, Kathrine Kuhl, Frida Maanum, and Freya Godfrey respectively.

The return of Emily Fox, Laia Codina, and summer signing Mariona Caldentey from international duty adds further depth to the squad, with all three players available on the bench.

The confirmed starting eleven for Arsenal is: Zinsberger; Williamson, Catley, McCabe, Wienroither; Little, Cooney-Cross, Kafaji; Mead, Russo, Foord.

The substitutes available to Eidevall are: Williams, Fox, Codina, Caldentey, Maanum, Walti, Kuhl, Lia, Agyemang, Harbert, Earl, and Reid.

Kick-off is scheduled for 9.15pm UK time, and fans can watch the action unfold live on Arsenal.com and the official app, with live commentary provided by Max Jones and Gunners legend Emma Byrne.

For those outside the UK, DAZN will be providing live coverage of the match.
