Glamorgan Ready for One-Day Cup Semi-Final Showdown at Sophia Gardens
Glamorgan Cricket Club has announced a 14-man squad for their crucial Metro Bank One-Day Cup Semi-Final clash against Warwickshire at Sophia Gardens this Sunday.
Following a strong group stage performance, Glamorgan secured top spot in Group B, having won seven out of their eight matches, including a dominant 62-run victory over Yorkshire Vikings in their final fixture. This impressive run earned them a home Semi-Final and an additional day of rest, allowing them to skip the Quarter-Final stage.
The squad, having participated in a training session on Friday afternoon and an optional session on Saturday morning, will be looking to secure a place in the Final at Trent Bridge on 22 September.
Notable absentees for the Semi-Final include Alex Horton, Tom Norton, Eddie Byrom, Zain ul Hassan, James Harris and Chris Cooke, all ruled out due to injuries.

Head Coach Grant Bradburn expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming match, stating, "There's a real buzz in the squad as we prepare for a home Semi-Final on Sunday. With the weather looking promising, we'd love to see our Glammy supporters out in force."
Bradburn highlighted the squad's impressive depth and adaptability, noting, "A key feature of our campaign has been the way different players have stepped up each game to make crucial contributions. The players are gaining confidence and understanding our winning formula, and we feel we have a well-balanced side."

Tickets for the Metro Bank One-Day Cup Semi-Final, which starts at 11am this Sunday, 18 August, can be purchased online. Under 17s can attend for free, while student tickets are priced at £10 and adult tickets at £15.
All Glamorgan Members will automatically have access to this match, and their Membership cards will be updated accordingly.
