Ghanaian Boxers Aim for Glory in US World Title Contests
Osibor Boxing Management is set to conclude a thrilling year with three of its top boxers vying for world titles in high-profile bouts in the United States.
Jon "Power" Mbanugo will lead the charge on 12 October at the 2300 Arena in Philadelphia. Having recently competed for the WBO Youth World Light-Heavyweight title in Albania, Mbanugo will face American Kevin Johnson for the coveted UBO International Light-Heavyweight crown. The event will be promoted by DSG Promotions, headed by former world champion Danny "Swift" Garcia.
Following Mbanugo's challenge, undefeated UBO International Super Bantamweight champion John Zile will step into the ring to fight for the UBO World Super Bantamweight title. Zile's opponent will be fellow Ghanaian Samuel Martei Laryea in a highly anticipated clash of the nation's top Super Bantamweights. The fight is scheduled for November, with the exact date and venue to be confirmed shortly.
Completing this impressive lineup is Stanley Nyantakyi, current holder of both the Ghana National and UBO Africa Featherweight titles. Nyantakyi will go up against Argentina's Sergio "El Canalla" Sosa for the UBO World Featherweight title. This fight is set for 7 December at the Menominee Casino Resort in Keshena, Wisconsin, and will be promoted by International Boxing.
Osibor Boxing Management expresses gratitude to all supporters and encourages the Ghanaian boxing community, including the Ministry of Sports and the general public, to rally behind these talented fighters. Their quest to bring international glory to Ghana deserves unwavering support and encouragement.
