England's 2025 Summer Cricket Schedule: Double-Header Action with India

England's cricket calendar for 2025 features a summer packed with international action, with both men's and women's teams hosting India in concurrent series. The exciting schedule also sees the return of West Indies and Zimbabwe, and a historic moment for women's cricket at Lord's.

The season kicks off at Canterbury's St Lawrence Ground on May 21st, with England Women taking on West Indies in the first of three T20 internationals (T20Is). This will be followed by a three-match One-Day International (ODI) series.

Meanwhile, the England Men's team will begin their summer with a four-day Test match against Zimbabwe at Trent Bridge, their first international meeting since the 2007 World T20. This Test will be followed by white-ball series against West Indies, comprising three ODIs and three T20Is.

The highlight of the summer will be the double-header action against India. England Men will face India in a five-Test series, commencing at Headingley on June 20th and concluding at The Oval in July. Simultaneously, England Women will take on India in five T20Is, starting at Trent Bridge on June 28th, and followed by a three-match ODI series.

With the Hundred competition taking up much of August, England Men's international programme will conclude with six white-ball games against South Africa, before travelling to Ireland for a three-match ODI series in September.

Richard Gould, the ECB's chief executive officer, highlighted the popularity of hosting men's and women's series concurrently, stating, "Staging England Men's and England Women's series alongside each other has been popular with fans and supported the continued growth of the women's game, with both the Ashes last year and the Pakistan series earlier this year proving successful."

He added, "I'm excited we'll be doing the same again for the West Indies and India series next year. Cricket fans are in for a real treat, and I hope they'll be out in force to support both men's and women's sides."

Gould also emphasized the significance of the upcoming series against India, saying, "India touring is always a big draw and a highlight of any cricket summer. The last men's Test series here was a nailbiter and I'm sure next year's clash will be just as exciting, while our women's series are always fiercely competitive."

Furthermore, he expressed his delight at welcoming both West Indies teams back for white-ball series, and acknowledged the historical significance of Zimbabwe's return for a Test match after over two decades.

Gould concluded by announcing the highly anticipated first-ever women's Test match at Lord's, stating, "I'm also delighted we can confirm that India Women will return in 2026 to take on England Women in the first-ever women's Test match at Lord's. It will be a truly special occasion, and one of real significance."
