Chester Aim for Victory Against Scarborough After Hard-Fought Draw
Chester FC will be looking to build on their impressive draw against Alfreton Town on Saturday when they face Scarborough Athletic at home today. Manager Anthony McIntyre expressed his satisfaction with the performance at Alfreton, highlighting the team's ability to secure a point on the road.
"We want to put some points on the board," McIntyre told Chester FC TV. "We can turn this into a really good point if we're able to follow that up with three on Monday in a home fixture. So, satisfied rather than happy, but particularly pleased with some aspects of the performance for sure."
Chester took the lead at Alfreton through Kurt Willoughby, who scored his first goal since returning on loan from Oldham Athletic. The Blues held the advantage until the second half when Alfreton's Jeb Abbey and David Moyo turned the game around. However, Chester equalised with 18 minutes remaining through Charlie Caton, who was set up by Iwan Murray, who was making his 100th appearance for the club.
