Chelsea Women Head Stateside for Pre-Season Tour
A 28-strong Chelsea Women's squad is set to jet off to the United States this afternoon, kicking off their pre-season tour with two high-profile friendlies.
The Blues will face off against NWSL side NJ/NY Gotham in New Jersey on Monday, 19 August, before a London derby clash against Arsenal in Washington DC on Sunday, 25 August.
This trip marks the debut for new head coach Sonia Bompastor, who will be eager to put her stamp on the side. Fans will also be keen to see the three summer signings - Sandy Baltimore, Oriane Jean-Francois, and Lucy Bronze - in action for the first time in Chelsea colours.
