Team GB continues its strong start to the Paris 2024 Olympics, with medals pouring in across various disciplines.
In the rowing, Emily Craig and Imogen Grant secured a dominant gold in the women's double sculls, closely followed by Oliver Wynne-Griffith and Thomas George who claimed silver in the men's pair. Bryony Page, who had previously won silver and bronze at the previous two Games, completed her Olympic medal set with an emotional gold in the women's trampoline.
Diving also saw success for Team GB, as Jack Laugher and Anthony Harding secured their fourth medal out of four in the competition. On the opening day of athletics, track stars Dina Asher-Smith and team captain Josh Kerr confidently advanced through their heats.
Meanwhile, French Olympic superstars are set to make their mark on the Games. Judo king Teddy Riner aims for gold, while Leon Marchand seeks a fourth swimming gold medal. Ben Proud, Duncan Scott, and Tom Dean will also be in action at La Defense Arena.
Thursday night witnessed an emotional farewell as Andy Murray bid adieu to tennis after a doubles defeat alongside Dan Evans. In a contrast of emotions, Simone Biles added a magnificent sixth gold medal to her collection in the individual all-around.

Tennis: Carlos Alcaraz cruises through to the final
The golden summer of Carlos Alcaraz looks to be continuing. The Spaniard, who has already triumphed at Roland Garros this year, is through to the final of the men's singles after a dominant 6-1, 6-1 victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime.
Alcaraz will now face either Lorenzo Musetti or Novak Djokovic in the gold medal match, with the second semi-final taking place later today.
Equestrian: Team jumping final
Great Britain currently holds first place in the team jumping final after two rounds, with no knocked-down fences and only one penalty point.
France sits in second place, having also completed their jumps successfully but with three penalty points. Team USA is third with four penalty points, followed by Ireland with five.
The competition is incredibly close, with a single fence knocked down potentially making the difference between gold and missing out on a medal altogether.
Bryony Page wins gold at Paris Olympics
Great Britain's Bryony Page secured a historic gold medal in the women's trampoline, completing her set of Olympic medals.
The 33-year-old, who won a surprising silver in Rio eight years ago and a bronze in Tokyo, entered the competition as the reigning world champion and gold medal favourite.
Equestrian: Team jumping final
Ben Maher and Dallas Vegas Batilly led Great Britain to the top of the leaderboard after the opening round of the team jumping final, with no knocked-down fences and just one penalty point. France sits in second with three penalty points, while Germany, Sweden, and the USA are all tied on four.
Trampoline: Bryony Page wins gold!
Bryony Page, the oldest trampoline competitor in the women's final, fulfilled her dream by winning gold. She claimed a silver medal in Rio 2016, a bronze at Tokyo 2020, and now completes her set with a gold medal at Paris 2024.
China's Hu Yicheng, who needed to beat Page's score to win gold, sadly missed the mat and hit the cushions, resulting in a gold medal for Bryony Page.
