Players can now travel to this new region and undertake several new missions, including investigating abandoned stations and running inter-system hauling routes. The patch also brings significant quality-of-life updates, such as functional external freight elevators, balance adjustments for ship combat, and refined injury mechanics that provide players with warnings before their condition becomes critical.

Running from today, November 20th, until Wednesday, December 3rd, the IAE is the perfect opportunity for those on the fence to jump in. The event makes the game completely free to play—no purchase necessary. Players can create an account, download the client, and head to the Orison convention center to tour a staggering collection of over 150 ships and vehicles. Each day, different manufacturers are highlighted, and all showcased vessels are available to rent for free for a limited time.

The event kicks off with Roberts Space Industries (RSI) taking the stage, featuring the now-flyable RSI Perseus heavy gunship, a vessel many backers are eager to pilot.

Getting started is simple. New players can visit the official RSI website to create an account and download the game launcher. Once installed, you can enter the Persistent Universe and travel to Orison on the planet Crusader to partake in the expo festivities.
