What’s free for PS Plus in January 2026
Need for Speed Unbound
Electronic Arts’ Need for Speed Unbound is available through PlayStation Plus for January. The game combines high-speed street racing in Lakeshore City with police pursuits driven by a rising “Heat” index.
Players can customize cars, compete in weekly qualifiers, and work toward The Grand, the series’ big street racing event. Expect single-player and multiplayer modes aimed at both casual racers and competitive players.
Epic Mickey: Rebrushed
THQ Nordic’s Epic Mickey: Rebrushed brings the 2010 Wii classic to modern consoles with upgraded visuals and gameplay tweaks. The remaster sends Mickey into the Wasteland, a realm of forgotten characters where he must face old allies and rivals.
The title is notable for expanding Disney’s character roster in-game and offering a nostalgic action-adventure experience with platforming and paint-based mechanics.
Core Keeper
Indie studio Pugstorm’s Core Keeper blends cozy-sim and survival mechanics in an expansive subterranean world. Players mine, craft, farm, and build bases while exploring cavern biomes packed with resources and bosses called Titans.
Core Keeper supports solo and cooperative play, encouraging long-term progression through crafting, cooking, and upgrading tools and skills.
Claim window and deadlines
The January batch will be claimable from Tuesday, January 6, through Monday, February 2. Any PlayStation Plus Essential subscriber can add these games to their library during that window.
If you missed December’s free lineup (including Lego Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3, The Outlast Trials, Synduality: Echo of Ada, and Neon White), you must claim those titles by Monday, January 5.
How to claim
Open the PlayStation Store on your PS5 or PS4, visit the PlayStation Plus section, and add the listed titles to your library. Downloading is optional; once claimed, the games remain in your library while your subscription is active.
Why this matters
Monthly PS Plus drops can introduce players to new genres—racing, remastered platforming, and indie survival in this case—while adding value to a subscription many use primarily for multiplayer access and discounts.
