Samsung’s Expanded Micro RGB TV Lineup Arrives CES 2026
• Samsung will exhibit a full Micro RGB TV range at CES 2026, spanning 55 to 115 inches. • The new models carry VDE certification as "Micro RGB Precision Color 100," promising 100% BT.2020 coverage. • Key features: Micro RGB AI Engine Pro, advanced color tools, glare reduction, Dolby Atmos and Adaptive Sound Pro. • Pricing hasn’t been announced; expect premium levels after last year’s $30,000 115-inch debut.
What Samsung is unveiling
Samsung confirmed it will present an expanded Micro RGB lineup during CES 2026 in Las Vegas. The range includes 55-, 65-, 75-, 85-, 100- and 115-inch models aimed at high-end home theaters and professional-caliber viewing.
Why Micro RGB matters
Micro RGB replaces the white backlighting used in Mini LED with tiny red, green and blue LEDs at the pixel level. That approach delivers richer, more accurate color and enables finer dimming control across the panel.
Unlike Micro LED or OLED, Micro RGB pixels aren’t individually emissive, so contrast ratios are not identical, but Samsung emphasizes higher peak brightness and superior color fidelity as the main benefits.
Certified color and technical highlights
Samsung says the new models achieve near broadcast-monitor accuracy and cover 100% of the BT.2020 HDR color space. The company has secured VDE certification for this standard under the name Micro RGB Precision Color 100.
Other improvements include Samsung’s Micro RGB AI Engine Pro for frame-by-frame processing, new color enhancement tools, and a glare-reduction system designed for bright rooms.
Audio and user experience
Audio is upgraded as well, with support for Dolby Atmos and Samsung’s Adaptive Sound Pro to better match sound to content and room acoustics. These features position the TVs as complete premium packages beyond just picture performance.
Market context and pricing expectations
LG has also announced Micro RGB models for 2026, signaling the format’s wider adoption. That said, Micro RGB remains a premium technology: Samsung’s 115-inch model launched last year at roughly $30,000, so buyers should expect high price points across the new sizes.
More details and official pricing should arrive at Samsung’s CES 2026 press events in early January.
