What Samsung announced
Samsung Electronics revealed five new Odyssey gaming monitors for 2026 that push refresh rates, resolution and immersion. The headline is the Odyssey 3D — a 32-inch, 6K glasses-free monitor that uses real-time eye tracking to deliver layered depth without headsets.
Odyssey 3D (G90XH): glasses-free 6K 3D
The G90XH runs a 6,144 x 3,456 IPS panel at native 165Hz and can boost to 330Hz in Dual Mode (3K). Samsung says it achieves 1ms GtG response time and real-time eye tracking so 2D→3D conversion and depth adjust to the viewer’s position.
Samsung worked with game studios to optimize titles including The First Berserker: Khazan, Lies of P: Overture and Stellar Blade for added dimensionality and clearer object separation.
Odyssey G6 (G60H): esports-first 1,040Hz
The 27-inch G60H targets competitive players with a native QHD panel that supports up to 600Hz and a Dual Mode that enables a staggering 1,040Hz at HD resolution. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium and will be NVIDIA G-Sync Compatible at launch.
Samsung positions the G6 as a solution for motion clarity and target tracking during high-speed gameplay.
Odyssey G8 series: 6K, 5K and OLED options
The expanded G8 line offers three distinct models. The 32-inch G80HS is the industry’s first native 6K gaming monitor with 165Hz (boost to 330Hz). The 27-inch G80HF delivers a 5K (5,120 x 2,880) panel at 180Hz (boost to 360Hz in QHD).
For contrast and HDR, the 32-inch Odyssey OLED G8 (G80SH) pairs a 4K QD-OLED panel with 240Hz, DisplayPort 2.1 (UHBR20) and USB-C (98W) power delivery, plus VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification.
Market context and availability
Hun Lee, EVP of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, said the lineup delivers experiences “that simply weren’t possible even a year ago.” Samsung noted it leads global gaming-monitor revenue for displays above 144Hz, per IDC, and will showcase the full range at CES 2026 in Las Vegas.
Samsung has shared detailed specs for each model; pricing and regional availability will be announced closer to retail launch.
