What Motorola revealed at CES 2026

Motorola stepped into the book-style foldable market with the Razr Fold, a device positioned to compete with Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold line and Google's Pixel Fold. The company previewed the phone at CES and said it will share more details in the coming months.

Design and displays

The Razr Fold carries a 6.6-inch front display for one-handed use and opens to an 8.1-inch 2K interior screen. The unfolded panel matches the size expectations set by current book-style foldables.

The exterior design echoes Motorola’s current hardware language and will be offered in Pantone Blackened Blue and Pantone Lily White, with an option for a woven vegan leather finish.

Cameras and imaging

Motorola equipped the Razr Fold with a triple rear camera array, all using 50-megapixel sensors: a primary camera, an ultrawide, and a 3x optical telephoto. For selfies there’s a 32-megapixel external camera and a 20-megapixel internal selfie shooter when the device is unfolded.

Timing and pricing

Motorola did not announce price or full specs at CES. The company expects to launch the Razr Fold in summer 2026 and said it will reveal additional details in the months ahead.

Other devices and software Motorola showed

Qira: a cross-device AI assistant

Motorola and Lenovo introduced Qira, a unified AI assistant that combines multiple large language models — including Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, Google’s Gemini, and in-house models — into a single platform. Qira will appear first on Lenovo PCs later this year and then on select Motorola devices such as Razr, Edge, and Signature phones.

Project Maxwell: the AI pendant (concept)

Project Maxwell is a concept wearable pendant with a camera, microphone, and touch control that uses Qira to answer questions about the world around you. Motorola described it as a concept with no immediate plans for mass production.

Moto Things: watch, pen, and tags

Motorola expanded its Moto Things lineup with a 47-mm Moto Watch running a proprietary OS and promising up to 13 days of battery life. The Moto Pen Ultra is a pressure-sensitive stylus with tilt detection and a battery-equipped carrying case; it will enable AI features like handwriting beautification and Sketch to Image. The Moto Tag 2 adds ultra-wideband (UWB), IP68 water resistance, and a battery life of more than 500 days for tracking supported devices.

Note on other announcements

Motorola also previewed a Signature premium phone (not coming to the U.S.) and a FIFA World Cup 2026 Edition Razr 2025 that will retail for $700 and reach wider retail channels in February.
