What LG is announcing

LG is unveiling a canvas-style Gallery TV at CES 2026 that aims to turn a living room display into an art-focused centerpiece. The new model arrives in 55-inch and 65-inch sizes and emphasizes a flush-to-wall look with customizable magnetic frames for a framed art aesthetic.

Design and form factor

The Gallery TV uses a slim, wall-flush design meant to mimic framed artwork. Magnetic frames allow quick customization to match decor, and LG says the product was developed with input from museum curators to prioritize how artworks appear on screen.

Display technology and image processing

Under the hood the TV employs a Mini LED backlight and delivers 4K resolution. Image processing is handled by LG's Alpha 7 AI processor, which the company says will help optimize color, tone and texture for displayed artwork as well as standard video content.

Art-first features

The Gallery TV will integrate LG's Gallery+ service, a paid subscription that offers a library of more than 4,500 works users can display. Owners will also be able to surface images from personal libraries or generate custom images using built-in generative AI tools.

Picture handling and ambient optimization

LG highlights a Gallery Mode that adjusts brightness and color to emphasize the texture and nuance of artworks. The set will include reflection and glare reduction measures and automatically tweak picture settings to maintain an optimal image as ambient light changes over the day.

How it stacks up

This is not LG's first art-focused TV — the company released the ultra-thin LG GX Gallery OLED in 2020 and other Gallery Design models previously. The new Mini LED Gallery TV positions LG more directly against Samsung's The Frame and Hisense's CanvasTV, offering similar framed aesthetics but with different panel and processing choices.

Availability and CES details

LG plans to show the Gallery TV at CES 2026 in Las Vegas from January 6–9. Pricing and regional availability have not been announced; expect hands-on coverage and official specs during LG's CES presentation.
