What Dell announced at CES 2026
XPS returns: redesigned models and specs
Dell revived its XPS consumer line at CES 2026 with two redesigned models: the XPS 14 and XPS 16. The company said a lower-priced XPS 13 will follow later in the year after a year-long pause of the series.
Chief Operating Officer Jeff Clarke framed the move as a return to consumer and gaming roots: "XPS is back, better than ever, with a complete redesign that delivers exceptional craftsmanship in our thinnest, lightest form factors yet."
The new XPS machines will be available with tandem OLED display options and ship with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors. They also include built-in Intel Arc graphics configured with 12 Xe cores, a sign Dell is leaning on Intel's latest integrated graphics to boost mainstream GPU performance.
Alienware expansion: more models, wider coverage
Dell is broadening Alienware’s lineup, effectively doubling its notebook offerings. New categories include an ultra-thin 17mm gaming laptop and an entry-level gaming model to reach more price points.
Several Alienware laptops — including the 16 Area-51 and 16X Aurora — will offer anti-glare OLED panels, and Dell said the 18 Area-51 series will run Intel Core Ultra 200HX processors. The Area-51 desktop will ship with AMD’s new Ryzen 9850X3D, leveraging 3D V-Cache technology for higher gaming and compute performance.
"These moves are about broadening our portfolio and expanding our coverage so we can reach more customers with the best products at every price point," Clarke added.
Monitors: a 52-inch 6K UltraSharp and a 32" QD-OLED
Dell unveiled the UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor, billed as the world’s first 52-inch 6K display and the first monitor to reach the highest tier of TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification. Dell positions the 52" 6K as a single‑panel alternative for professionals — financial traders, data scientists, engineers and executives — who need expansive screen real estate without multi-monitor setups.
The company also introduced a 32" 4K QD-OLED Monitor, described as the first commercial DisplayHDR True Black 500 QD-OLED with Anti-Glare Low-Reflectance technology, aimed at creative professionals and gamers.
Why it matters
Dell’s announcements span consumer, gaming and professional markets: relaunching XPS boosts mainstream appeal, Alienware’s wider range targets more gamers, and the large UltraSharp signals a push into high-end single‑panel workflows. The moves tie closely to partnerships with Intel (Core Ultra, Arc graphics) and AMD (Ryzen 9850X3D). Availability and pricing beyond the XPS 13 timing were not detailed at CES.
