Bully Ray Questions the Wyatt Sicks' Continued Use of Gorilla Position
Since their chaotic debut, the Wyatt Sicks have dominated "WWE Raw" with their unsettling presence. From their initial backstage invasion to the chilling vignettes featuring Bo Dallas, Erick Rowan, and Nikki Cross, they've made their mark on the show. However, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley, known as Bully Ray, recently voiced his disapproval of one specific detail: the faction's continued entrance through Gorilla Position.
Speaking on his podcast "Busted Open Radio," Ray expressed his confusion, stating, "They destroyed the Gorilla Position, correct? They left people for dead in the Gorilla Position, they beat up everybody and anybody, blood splattered on the walls, a complete disaster. Why are the Wyatt Sicks still coming through the Gorilla Position?"
Ray argued that the Wyatt Sicks' entrance should be anything but conventional. "I don't want to see the Wyatt Sicks look like every other act in the WWE," he said, emphasizing his belief that their unique debut demanded a different approach. "They should be clouded in mystery," he added.
He continued, "I would love to see the Wyatt Sicks appear from every other place in the arena other than from the entranceway. The Wyatt Sicks should be clouded in mystery."
Ray's concern stems from WWE's increasing tendency to reveal backstage footage, including wrestlers entering the ring through Gorilla Position. This, he believes, diminishes the impact of the Wyatt Sicks' destructive debut, which should have forever barred them from that area.
He believes that the Wyatt Sicks' continued use of Gorilla Position undermines their initial impact and makes them seem like just another act.
Ray's critique begs the question: will WWE heed his advice and keep the Wyatt Sicks' entrance shrouded in mystery, or will they continue to let them emerge from the very spot they once wreaked havoc? Only time will tell if WWE embraces the unpredictability that Ray advocates for, or if they will continue to maintain the status quo.
