WWE Legend 'Sid Vicious' Passes Away at 63
Former World Wrestling Federation Champion, Sid Eudy, known to fans as "Sid Vicious," has sadly passed away at the age of 63, his family announced.
The news of Eudy's death was shared by his son, Gunnar Eudy, in a heartfelt Facebook post. "I am deeply saddened to share that my father, Sid Eudy, has passed away after battling cancer for several years," he wrote. "He was a man of strength, kindness, and love, and his presence will be greatly missed. We appreciate your thoughts and prayers as we grieve this loss."
WWE also confirmed the news on their official Instagram page, extending their condolences to Eudy's family, friends, and fans. "WWE is saddened to learn that Sid Eudy has passed away. WWE extends its condolences to Eudy's family, friends and fans," the post read.
Eudy enjoyed a decorated career in professional wrestling, performing under several names including "Sycho Sid" and "Sid Justice." He competed in both the World Wrestling Federation (WWF), now known as WWE, and World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where he won numerous world championships.
He was a familiar face in main-event matches at WrestleMania, notably in 1992 and 1997. During his time in the ring, he faced off against some of the biggest names in professional wrestling, including Randy "Macho Man" Savage, Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, The Undertaker, and Shawn Michaels.
Eudy's last appearance in WWE was in 2012, a special appearance for the 1000th episode of "Raw."
