Wizkid Accused of 'Lifting' Lyrics from Oladips Track
Nigerian rapper Oladips has made a serious accusation against Grammy-winning artist Wizkid, alleging that he has borrowed lyrics from his track 'Ajala Travel remix' for his recent collaboration with Asake, titled 'MMS'.
Oladips posted screenshots comparing the lyrics of both songs on his Instagram account, highlighting the similarities between the two tracks. He argues that Wizkid's use of these lyrics constitutes intellectual property theft, and has taken to social media to voice his concerns.
In response to a fan who suggested that sampling is a common practice in the music industry, Oladips reiterated that proper authorization is crucial when borrowing elements from another artist's work. He stated, "It is acceptable if you credit the original source! It is not right to act as if you are unaware of the original artist while secretly using their lyrics."
