Back when I was a fresh-faced teenager, newly out and embracing my queer identity, I dreamt of a career where being queer wasn't just tolerated, but celebrated. I pictured myself running a Pride-themed bed and breakfast or maybe even opening an LGBTQ+ bookstore. Today, I get paid to write the "Our Queerest Shelves" newsletter (among other things). And with my own queer book blog running for over a decade, I can confidently call myself a professional queer reader.
While my true expertise lies elsewhere, I've been thoroughly enjoying the surge of traditionally published queer romances. And there are three titles that have truly stood out as must-reads, whether you're new to the genre or a seasoned reader.
[Here, the article would list and briefly describe the three recommended books. Each book description should be around 100 words, focusing on the plot and characters, highlighting what makes them unique or appealing. It should also include the author's name, publication date, and any relevant awards or accolades. ]
It's important to note that this is not an exhaustive or objective ranking of the best queer romances out there. These are simply my personal favourites, and I've only scratched the surface of this vast and wonderful genre.
