As the highest-grossing tour of all time prepares for its London encore, a vibrant new mural celebrating Taylor Swift has appeared in Shoreditch. The artwork, designed by fan Kate Claxton, was chosen through a competition organised by Visit London and Global Street Art.
The mural features a striking image of Swift surrounded by iconic London landmarks. Red telephone boxes, the London Eye, Big Ben, the Gherkin, and a London bus are all woven into the design, creating a visually engaging and distinctly British backdrop for the pop star.
Claxton, a dedicated Swiftie, expressed her pride in seeing her design come to life: "To see my design come to life on the streets of London, in celebration of the best tour I have ever attended, has been an incredible experience and one I am very proud to be a part of."
The mural was unveiled this week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and will remain on display throughout the remainder of the Eras Tour. Swift and her supporting act, Paramore, will perform five nights at Wembley Stadium, starting on 15th August and running through 20th August.
Fans attending the concerts are encouraged to visit the mural, located at 83 Redchurch Street in Shoreditch, to capture a photo with this unique tribute to the pop icon before heading to Wembley Stadium. This colourful addition to London's street art scene serves as a reminder of the continued impact of Taylor Swift and her music, drawing crowds of devoted fans to the capital.
