Taskmaster Returns to Channel 4: Line-up and Premiere Date Announced

The ever-popular and award-winning comedy series *Taskmaster

is back for another round of hilarious and baffling challenges, with a new line-up of contestants set to take on the formidable Greg Davies and his ever-loyal assistant, Alex Horne.

The new series, confirmed to premiere on Channel 4 on Thursday 12th September at 9pm, will see a fresh batch of comedians vying for the coveted Taskmaster's seal of approval. The line-up features a mix of familiar faces and newcomers, each bringing their own unique brand of humour and eccentricity to the table.

This year's contestants are:

Andy Zaltzman: Comedian, host of *The Bugle* Podcast and cricket statistician, known for his appearances on *The News Quiz* on BBC Radio 4.

Babatunde AlÃ©shÃ©: Comedian, actor, and podcaster, known for his roles in *Celebrity Gogglebox* on Channel 4.

Emma Sidi: Actor, comedian, and writer, known for her roles in *Starstruck* on BBC Three and HBO Max.

Jack Dee: Legendary stand-up and writer, best known for his work on *I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue* on BBC Radio 4.

Rosie Jones: Stand-up comedian, presenter, actor, and author, known for her role in *Trip Hazard* on Channel 4.

Beyond the televised series, *Taskmaster

fans can immerse themselves in the world of the show through a variety of exciting new projects. Taskmaster: The Live Experience, a new interactive event, will launch this Autumn at Dock X in London's Canada Water from 18th September 2024. The immersive experience allows audiences to step into the shoes of their favourite comedians, tackling absurd tasks within the iconic *Taskmaster* House.

For those who prefer a more virtual experience, the Taskmaster VR Game will be released this summer, allowing players to take on the challenge of competing in outlandish tasks or even design their own challenges as the Taskmaster's Assistant. The game, developed by Scallywag Arcade, will be available on Meta Quest and SteamVR.
