Taskmaster Returns: Season 18 Start Date Confirmed with New Comic Line-Up
Get ready for another round of hilarious challenges and absurd tasks, as Channel 4 has confirmed the return of the much-loved comedy series, Taskmaster. Season 18 will premiere on Thursday 12th September at 9pm, bringing with it a fresh batch of comedians ready to face the whims of Greg Davies and Alex Horne.
The latest series follows the conclusion of season 17, which saw John Robins crowned as the victor. Season 18 boasts a diverse and exciting line-up, including:
Andy Zaltzman, known for his work on The News Quiz,
Babatunde Aléshé, familiar to viewers from I'm a Celebrity and Celebrity Gogglebox,
Emma Sidi, actress from Starstruck and Ghosts,
Jack Dee, the comedian known for his Lead Balloon series, and
Rosie Jones, a comedian who has appeared in Out of Order and Trip Hazard: My Great British Adventure.
While these comedians prepare to tackle the unpredictable tasks, Horne has already hinted at a major international name joining the show for season 19.
âWe've got someone in the next series, series 19, from abroad, who's a big name overseas, which we've not done before. So yeah, there's always different avenues to go down," he revealed during an appearance on Sunday Brunch.
Given the show's history of featuring international talent, including Katherine Ryan, Rose Matafeo, Sarah Kendall, Desiree Burch, Mae Martin and Sam Campbell, this overseas addition promises to add another layer of intrigue to the upcoming season.
With a new cast and a commitment to fresh and inventive challenges, Taskmaster season 18 is set to be a hilarious and unpredictable treat for viewers.
Taskmaster season 18 will air on Channel 4 on Thursday 12th September at 9pm.
