Finn Wolfhard and Gaten Matarazzo, stars of the hit Netflix series "Stranger Things," were spotted on a playful outing in New York City on Wednesday. The two actors, along with Gaten's girlfriend, actress Elizabeth Yu, 21, appeared to be on a house-hunting mission.
Wolfhard, who recently appeared in a first-look at the upcoming final season of "Stranger Things," looked comfortable in a casual ensemble. He wore a white long-sleeve t-shirt with the sleeves rolled up, navy athletic shorts, black Converse sneakers, and a blue baseball cap. Matarazzo, sporting a cheerful grin, was dressed in a plain white t-shirt, baggy beige jeans, matching sneakers, and an orange cap.
Yu, known for her role in Todd Haynes' acclaimed drama "May December," looked effortlessly stylish in a white t-shirt emblazoned with the phrase "A Film By Todd Haynes," a nod to her involvement in the movie. She paired the shirt with baggy acid wash jeans, Adidas Sambas, and a black handbag.
The trio were seen holding hands and strolling through the city, their playful banter adding to the relaxed atmosphere. It was unclear if their hand-holding was just friendly or part of a playful jest. They were later seen following a woman who appeared to be giving them a tour of a building, presumably a potential property for their house hunt.
The "Stranger Things" stars have grown up on the set of the series, having begun filming when they were just children. In a recent behind-the-scenes clip released by Netflix, the actors reflected on their journey and how much they have grown. Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, admitted to feeling strange about turning 20 after joining the show at the age of 10. Gaten, meanwhile, described the set as "home" after years of working on the series.
The clip also offered a glimpse into the upcoming fifth season, featuring scenes with special effects and eerie, blood-like substances.
"Stranger Things" season five is expected to premiere in early 2025, although a specific date has not yet been announced. Fans are eagerly awaiting the final chapter of the beloved sci-fi/horror series.
