Stacey Dooley Debuts Chic New Bob: Fans React to TV Presenter's Hair Transformation

BBC documentary maker Stacey Dooley has traded her trademark long locks for a chic, chin-grazing bob. The former Strictly Come Dancing champion unveiled her bold new hair transformation on Instagram, sharing a mirror selfie that put her new 'do front and centre.

Dooley ditched her golden tresses in favour of a sleek, side-swept bob, adding volume and texture to the new style. The change has been met with a wave of approval from fans and friends, flooding the comments section with heartfelt compliments. "Wow stunning," one follower wrote, while another chimed in with "Love it!"

While Dooley is known for her vibrant red hair, she has previously experimented with blonde shades. After years of exploring different looks, she has returned to her natural roots, maintaining her bright red locks with the help of Clairol hair dye, for whom she is an ambassador.

Speaking about her hair routine, Dooley shared her secret with Cosmopolitan: "The best hair tip I've learnt is actually not to wash it too often." She explained, "That's my secret/excuse for only washing my hair once a week, tops. I think red is so tricky to keep vibrant, but that's what works for me and it's actually a win-win because I'm so lazy. I've got so much hair, washing it is such a hassle."

Dooley's daughter, Minnie, whom she shares with her boyfriend Kevin Clifton, has inherited her golden locks. The proud mother shared her delight on Instagram, writing: "My daughter has inherited my hair colour and I'm just THRILLLLLLED tbh."

Dooley and Clifton, who met on the set of Strictly Come Dancing in 2018, welcomed their first child together in January 2023. Since then, the couple have traded their London life for a new chapter in Liverpool, where they reside in a stunning family home. The pair fell in love with the property after browsing online, and the decision to relocate was a quick one. "We went and had a look and the second she walked in was like, 'I love it and I can really see us living here'," Clifton told the Liverpool ECHO. "It all happened really quickly, and we love it."

Although the couple seem to be going from strength to strength, marriage doesn't appear to be on the horizon for the pair. Dooley told The Sun: "Marriage has never been massively important to me. It's just never been something I've dreamt about. But I couldn't have done this (motherhood) without Kev. It's weird. I've always loved him, but it's a different love I have for Kev now."
