Slipknot's Sid Wilson Hospitalised After 'Serious' Burns in Explosion

Slipknot's DJ, Sid Wilson, has been admitted to hospital after suffering severe burns in an explosion. The musician, who is in a relationship with Kelly Osbourne, shared footage from his hospital bed on Friday, showing the extent of his injuries.

In a video posted to his Instagram, Wilson, visibly shaken and hooked up to an oxygen machine, explained, "I had an explosion in my face. I'm OK. I'm gonna be OK, but I did have some serious burns to my face and my arms." He added that he was undergoing X-rays to check for any internal injuries caused by inhaling flames.

Despite his injuries, Wilson remained determined to fulfil his upcoming tour commitments. In his video, he reassured fans that he would be performing with Slipknot at the Rocklahoma Festival next weekend, stating, "I don't care what it takes, I will see you on tour."

The official Slipknot Instagram account confirmed Wilson's expected participation in the festival, further alleviating concerns about his ability to perform.

In a subsequent video posted later that day, Wilson, who described himself as a "trooper," was on his way to a specialised burns unit for further treatment. He assured his followers that he was "hanging in there pretty good."

However, Osbourne's reaction to the incident was far more distressed. In a video posted to her Instagram Stories, a visibly upset Osbourne explained, "This is why you don't f--k with burn piles," referring to the cause of Wilson's injuries. She recounted that Wilson had "literally set himself on fire...exploded everything."

In another video, Osbourne captured their 21-month-old son, Sidney, playing on the hospital floor while his father received treatment. She expressed her frustration in the video's caption, simply stating, "I have no words."

Wilson's accident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers associated with fire and the potential for serious injury. It is a reminder to always exercise caution and follow safety guidelines when dealing with potentially hazardous materials.
