Slipknot DJ Sid Wilson Suffers Burns in Farm Accident

Slipknot's DJ, Sid Wilson, is recovering after suffering burns in an accident on his farm, the band has confirmed. The heavy metal group announced the news on their official Instagram page on Friday, stating that Wilson "sustained burns across his body" in the incident.

"He’s recovering with his family and will still join us on stage at Rocklahoma next weekend," the statement continued. "He thanks everyone for the well wishes, and will see you all soon."

Wilson himself shared video updates from the hospital on his own Instagram page, revealing that the accident involved an "explosion in [his] face." He described his injuries as "singed everywhere," including his eyebrows, mouth, face, and arms.

"I’m going to be alright," he reassured fans, adding that "I don’t care what it takes, I’ll see you on tour." He also acknowledged that his burns "sting a lot."

In a subsequent video, recorded from an ambulance on the way to a specialist burn centre, Wilson explained that he might need to shave his head to ensure there are no hidden burns. He reiterated that he is "going to be OK" and in "good hands."

The DJ clarified in another video that the accident did not occur during a show, but while "out working on the farm." He provided no further details about the incident but did urge his followers to "be really safe when you’re messing with fire."

Wilson's partner, Kelly Osbourne, also shared footage from the hospital where she was looking after their son. "He literally set himself on fire and exploded everything," she said on her Instagram story.

She later thanked fans for their support and confirmed she was on her way to pick Wilson up from the hospital.

Various angles from the videos shared by both Wilson and Osbourne showed his arms and hands wrapped in heavy bandages.

CNN has reached out to representatives for both Wilson and Osbourne for further comment.

Slipknot is scheduled to perform at the Rocklahoma Festival in Pryor, Oklahoma, from August 30 to September 1. The band has assured fans that Wilson will still be joining them onstage despite his recent injuries.
