Sandra Bullock Mistook Lisa Kudrow for Phoebe Buffay

The *Friends

fandom is so passionate that even famous fans sometimes blur the lines between actors and their characters. During a recent interview on *Jimmy Kimmel Live*, Lisa Kudrow revealed a humorous incident where Sandra Bullock confused her with her *Friends* alter ego.

While at a party, Kudrow and Bullock were chatting when Bullock jokingly referred to Kudrow as "Phoebe." "She was like, 'Well, I guess you'll just have to talk to yourself, Phoebe,' about something, and she called me 'Phoebe,'" recounted Kudrow.

Though initially caught off guard, Bullock quickly realized her mistake and was visibly embarrassed. "She caught herself, she went 'What'd I just do?'" shared Kudrow.

Kudrow also shared a heartwarming anecdote about her son's reaction to the end of *Friends*. When the show wrapped its ten-year run in 2004, Kudrow was emotional. Her then-five-year-old son, noticing her tears, inquired about the cause. Her husband explained, "Well, she's sad because *Friends

is done."

To Kudrow's surprise, her son responded, "But she can see her friends, she can just call them!" He was unaware of the show's name or its nature, only knowing that his mother worked on a show.

Kudrow also revealed that she only recently began watching *Friends

regularly. "I do now, but I didn't forever," she admitted. "I couldn't watch myself at all. Also, even if I wanted to, the embarrassment of somebody walking into the room…"

Despite the fame and success of *Friends*, Kudrow's experience highlights the deep impact the show had on viewers and the enduring love for its characters. It also serves as a reminder that even celebrities can fall prey to the immersive world of their favorite shows, sometimes forgetting that the actors are real people with lives beyond the screen.
