Sabrina Carpenter Goes "Espresso" Crazy in Hilarious Olympics Promo

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter is getting hyped for the 2024 Paris Olympics, but maybe a little *too

hyped.

In a new, hilarious promo video for NBC, Carpenter finds herself at a Parisian café, seemingly having a conversation with a bluebird about the upcoming games.

"Why yes, I am Sabrina Carpenter," she tells the animated bird, who chirps excitedly at her. "Settle down, we just met."

Carpenter goes on to excitedly describe all the events she's looking forward to, including the opening ceremony on the Seine, Simone Biles' potential comeback, the US-Australia swimming rivalry, and the races featuring Noah Lyles and Sha'Carri Richardson.

The video then cuts to a real-life POV shot, revealing that Carpenter is actually talking to herself. "You need to behave yourself!" she tells the nonexistent bird, laughing hysterically. "You're crazy!"

A waiter, witnessing the scene, shakes his head and tells a coworker, "I think she's had enough espresso."

The clever promo is a nod to Carpenter's hit song "Espresso," which reached a peak of No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 in June.

The video comes just two weeks before the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympics, which will take place on July 26th. The games will be held in Paris for three weeks, concluding on August 11th.

Following the games, Carpenter will release her sixth studio album, *Short N' Sweet*.
