Ruth Langsford Returns to Loose Women Amid Divorce
Ruth Langsford is set to return to the popular daytime show *Loose Women
tomorrow, marking her first appearance since taking a break following her separation from husband Eamonn Holmes. While fans anticipate her return, sources close to the 64-year-old presenter suggest that she won't be discussing the divorce, aiming for a normal, work-focused appearance alongside fellow panelists Coleen Nolan, Brenda Edwards, and Janet Street-Porter.
Friends of Ruth, who last appeared on *ITV's
show in April, reveal that while the past few weeks have been challenging, she's ready to get back to doing what she loves. âIt has been a tough few weeks but now she feels it is time for her to get back to Loose Women. It is a job she loves doing and even though the split has been very tough, life must go on," a friend confided. "Just don't expect any big news or revelations about the divorce, she wants to keep that private."
Meanwhile, Eamonn has continued to work at *GB News*, choosing not to publicly address the impending divorce. He even presented an extra show on Sunday with Anne Diamond, posting a photo with her on social media, still wearing his wedding ring, and describing it as a "pleasure."
Despite his professional commitments, Eamonn has also been dealing with ongoing health struggles stemming from chronic back issues. Earlier this month, he shared on social media about aiming to walk again, though later acknowledging the difficult reality of his condition.
Adding to the complexities of the situation, reports emerged last month that Eamonn has been seeking solace in the company of another woman, relationship counsellor Katie Alexander. Alexander has been spotted with the *GB News
presenter on multiple occasions over the past year, including at his home. While Ruth had limited knowledge of their friendship, Alexander has reportedly been spending more time with Eamonn in recent months.
The couple, who met in 1997 and married in 2010, are reportedly aiming to finalize the divorce in the coming months. However, sources indicate that behind the scenes, there are significant challenges to overcome.
Eamonn expressed his emotional turmoil at the *TRIC Awards
last month, stating "Iâm not OK. This is not a good time at all." When questioned about the possibility of maintaining a relationship with Ruth, he added, "It's too early to say but I hope we can still be friends."
The couple's separation marks the end of a long-standing relationship, with Eamonn previously stating in January the "harsh reality" that he may never be able to walk alone again unaided.
The news of Ruth's return to *Loose Women
amidst her personal turmoil has generated significant interest, with many eager to see how she navigates the emotional challenges ahead.
