Rochelle and Marvin Humes have marked their 12th wedding anniversary, reflecting on their love story and providing an update on their ambitious family home project.
The couple, who are now parents to three children, enjoyed a romantic getaway to Lake Como in Italy, the same location where they renewed their vows on their 10th anniversary. Sharing sun-drenched pictures on Instagram, Rochelle expressed her gratitude, writing: "Almost 15 years together. 12 years married today. Celebrating our love in our special place."
Their celebrity friends showered them with well wishes, including singer Olly Murs who commented: "Congratulations you legends," and Pixie Lott, who remarked: "Happy anniversary Roch and marv!!! We loved your amazing wedding!!!!" Fellow TV personality Ruth Langsford added: "Happy Anniversary you beautiful people," and This Morning's Vanessa Feltz wrote: "Happy anniversary to one of the most genuine authentic charming and loving couples I know."
Back in the UK, the couple returned to their family life, spending time with their children Alaia-Mai, Valentina, and Blake. Following a leisurely Sunday lunch, they made a visit to their building site, where they are creating their dream home.
Rochelle has been documenting the progress on her social media, sharing a series of updates with her followers. In May, she posted a picture of work beginning on their plot, writing: "And so we begin..." with a house emoji. Marvin re-shared the post, adding: "Huge day!"
In June, Rochelle shared a video of the building site, captioning it: "Popped past our @homehumes building site... This is really happening now gang," with a face holding back tears emoji.
On Sunday, Rochelle filmed Marvin standing on the site where their home will eventually be built, playfully questioning him about the progress.
"Everybody always asks us... Marv, go on, what's our most asked question?" Rochelle asked, to which Marvin replied: "When's the new house ready? When are you moving in? Is it started?" Rochelle confirmed: "All of that stuff's accurate..."
"But, we've just gone for Sunday lunch and popped down to the plot now. You might remember when we first posted there was a big frame here, that has now gone and everything is in... We are started. We've owned it just over a year..." Rochelle explained.
She went on to clarify that securing planning permission and finalising their vision for the house took over a year, before construction could begin. "So they've been started now for probably two weeks and it's all go. We have everything in place, it's now just all go until the end... It's happening, gang!" she concluded.
