Pop-Punk Powerhouse: Disney Unveils Full Tracklist for "A Whole New Sound"

Disney has confirmed the full line-up of artists and tracklist for their highly anticipated pop-punk covers album, "A Whole New Sound," set to drop on 6 September.

Following the release of stellar covers by Simple Plan and Magnolia Park, Mickey Mouse himself revealed the remaining artists: Yellowcard, Bowling For Soup, LØLØ, Meet Me @ The Altar, Mayday Parade and New Found Glory. To mark the announcement, New Found Glory shared their rendition of "Part Of Your World" from the 1989 classic "The Little Mermaid."

“Approaching this song, I spent some time with the lyrics and melodies,” explained guitarist Chad Gilbert. “I realised that to capture Ariel’s emotions, we needed the music to match the rebellious spirit and hope for adventure in the song. When she sings about wanting to dance, the music is upbeat and fun, but when she expresses her longing for freedom, the rhythm slows down, allowing you to truly feel the emotional weight.”

Gilbert further elaborated on the band's motivation: “Our band’s greatest aim has always been to inspire and encourage young adults, those young at heart, and anyone who dreams but struggles with self-doubt, to embrace the world that will accept them for who they are. We want to encourage them to take the next step without fear."
