Poker Site Accused of Stiffing Popular Streamer Ludwig

Popular streamer Ludwig Ahgren has publicly accused ACR Poker of refusing to pay him winnings, raising concerns about the site's financial practices.

Ludwig, known for his large online following and diverse content, shared his experience with the poker site during a recent livestream. He revealed that he had a sponsorship deal with ACR Poker to play poker and that the site allegedly withheld his winnings from tournaments and games played on their platform.

Despite his status as a prominent figure in the online world, with over 6 million YouTube subscribers and 1.8 million followers on X (formerly Twitter), Ludwig found it "so f*g hard" to withdraw his earnings from the site.

"The reason I regret it is because that company refused to pay me out," Ludwig explained, "and the money that I earned playing poker, because I won a bunch of tournaments, I would then gamble on their site, and it was so f*g hard to pull the money out. And, so, if it's hard for me, it means it's hard for the other people I was promoting it to to play poker."

His criticisms are particularly relevant given ACR Poker's history of accusations regarding the presence of excessive bots on their platform. This has led to concerns about the site's overall legitimacy and fairness, as bot activity can be used to manipulate game outcomes and undermine the integrity of the platform.

However, Ludwig's complaint focuses on a more direct issue - the site's apparent unwillingness to pay out winnings. This sentiment has been echoed by other players, including streamer PayMoneyWubby, who claims he was also a sponsor of ACR Poker in 2022 and encountered similar difficulties receiving payment. This prompted him to pursue legal action against the site.

The Lodge Card Club's co-owner, Thomas Keeling, expressed disappointment with ACR Poker's alleged actions, highlighting the potential negative impact on the poker industry. "The optics aren't great for the poker industry," Keeling wrote on X.

While ACR Poker has not publicly responded to these allegations, Ludwig's accusations have sparked discussions within the online poker community. The lack of transparency and potential financial discrepancies raise serious concerns about the site's operations and its commitment to fair play. This incident underscores the importance of players choosing reputable and transparent poker platforms to ensure a fair and enjoyable gaming experience.
