Oasis Brothers Bury the Hatchet: Britpop Legends Reunite After 15-Year Feud

After 15 years of bitter rivalry, Britpop icons Oasis have announced a highly anticipated reunion tour, ending years of speculation and igniting the hopes of countless fans. The band, known for their anthemic tunes and sibling rivalry, confirmed the news on their website, stating, "The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised."

The announcement was accompanied by a video montage showcasing their electrifying live performances, interspersed with evocative messages, culminating in the declaration: "This is it, this is happening." The video's caption alluded to a telepathic connection between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, highlighting the unique dynamic that defines the band.

Oasis, famed for hits like "Wonderwall" and "Don't Look Back in Anger", disbanded in 2009 following years of public feuding, culminating in Noel's departure before a festival performance near Paris. The brothers' acrimonious relationship continued even after the split, with both engaging in public barbs and criticisms of each other.

Noel, the band's guitarist and songwriter, had previously stated that he couldn't continue working with Liam, citing an incident where Liam reportedly brandished a guitar "like an axe" and "took [his] face off" with it. Liam, on the other hand, had expressed a desire for reconciliation in 2019, stating that he was ready to put aside their differences for the sake of their brotherhood.

Now, however, it seems the Gallagher brothers have finally reached a truce, with both agreeing to return to the stage together. The band promises that fans can expect "the spark and intensity" that their live performances are renowned for.

The "OASIS LIVE ’25" tour will kick off on July 4th and 5th, 2025 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The band will then perform in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin, with plans to expand the tour to other continents next year.

The news has been met with overwhelming excitement from fans, who have eagerly awaited this reunion for years. With the return of Oasis, Britpop is poised to experience a resurgence, reminding the world of the enduring power and lasting appeal of this iconic band.
