M3GAN 2.0: A New Generation of AI Terror
Blumhouse, Atomic Monster, and Divide/Conquer are bringing back the killer AI doll M3GAN for a sequel, with a June 27, 2025 theatrical release date.
The sequel, titled *M3GAN 2.0*, sees the return of Gerard Johnstone as director and Akela Cooper as screenwriter, reuniting the creative team behind the original 2023 film, which grossed $181 million globally.
Joining the cast are Timm Sharp, Aristotle Athari, and Jemaine Clement. Sharp, known for his roles in shows like *Enlightened*, *âtil Death*, and *Itâs Always Sunny in Philadelphia*, adds his comedic talents to the mix. Athari, a former *Saturday Night Live
cast member, brings his sharp wit to the sequel. Clement, famous for his work with Flight of the Conchords and *What We Do In The Shadows*, will undoubtedly inject a dose of absurdist humor into the project.
Returning from the original film are Brian Jordan Alvarez as Cole and Jen Van Epps as Tess. Alvarez, known for his roles in *Will & Grace
and *Grace and Frankie*, is also set to star in and produce FX's upcoming comedy *English Teacher*. Van Epps, who recently appeared in the Amazon film *Donât Make Me Go*, will be seen in a recurring role alongside Lisa Kudrow in *Time Bandits*.
Rounding out the returning cast are Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, and Jenna Davis, joined by newcomer Ivanna Sakhno.

promises to deliver the same unsettling blend of horror and humor that made its predecessor a breakout hit. With a talented cast and creative team, the sequel is sure to be another thrilling addition to the Blumhouse universe.
