Speaking on the "Reality with Will Njobvu" podcast, Jess explained, "The only reason I said it [that Diamanté was laughing] is because the time when Uma was upset, that person was laughing at that exact moment. That all happened in real time. What you won't know is Maya actually called her out and said 'what are you laughing at, then?' She said, 'What is it that's funny then, if you're not laughing at that situation?'"
Diamanté, however, took to Instagram to refute Jess's claims, writing, "I'm so sick of explaining myself on this matter. I literally turned to Uma and said, 'to make it very clear, I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing at Wil's excuses'. Uma then asked me, 'what do you mean by that?' I said, 'it's not my place to say'. One thing I'll never do is LIE. I'm not sure why you're adding to the story? So bored of this now."
The Casa Amor recoupling ultimately led to Uma's departure from the villa after Wil was dumped. The pair reunited with fellow Islanders Ronnie Vint and Harriett Blackmore following their exits.
