Kutcher and Kunis Enjoy Casual Dinner Date Amidst Masterson Controversy

Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis were spotted enjoying a low-key dinner date in Los Angeles this week, their outing coming amidst continued fallout from their controversial character letters in the Danny Masterson rape case.

The couple, who celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary in July, opted for casual attire for their evening out. Kutcher sported a simple white T-shirt paired with blue trousers and matching trainers. He completed his look with a white baseball cap and a newly grown moustache.

Kunis, meanwhile, exuded effortless chic in a black tank top and loose-fitting orange and black striped trousers. The actress, known for her minimalist style, pulled her dark hair into a messy bun and wore lightly-tinted sunglasses. She layered two gold necklaces and completed her outfit with a watch and a pair of gold thong sandals.

The pair's public appearance comes after they faced significant backlash for writing character letters in support of Masterson, their former "That '70s Show" co-star, during his sentencing for two counts of rape.

Following the criticism, Kutcher and Kunis issued a joint video statement expressing their regret and stating their unwavering support for victims of sexual assault.

"We are aware of the pain that has been caused by the character letters we wrote on behalf of Danny Masterson," Kutcher acknowledged in the video, which was shared on Instagram.

"We support victims," Kunis added. "We have done this historically through our work and will continue to do so in the future."

The couple's apology, however, was met with further criticism, with many questioning the sincerity of their statement, particularly considering the inclusion of Scientological phrasing in the original letters.

Masterson was sentenced to 30 years to life in prison in September 2023 after a jury found him guilty of raping two women in the early 2000s.

Kutcher and Kunis, who first met on the set of "That '70s Show" as teenagers, now star together in the Netflix spin-off "That '90s Show". Their public profile has remained high despite the recent controversy, with both actors continuing to maintain busy careers in film and television.

It remains to be seen how the public will react to their continued presence in the entertainment industry following the Masterson case. Their decision to step out together for a casual dinner date suggests they are determined to move forward, despite the lingering controversy surrounding their involvement in the case.
