Kirsten Dunst Reunites with 'Bring It On' & 'Virgin Suicides' Fans for 25th Anniversary Celebration

Kirsten Dunst took a trip down memory lane this weekend, joining fans for a double feature screening of two of her most iconic films. The Academy Award-nominated actress surprised the crowd at Hollywood Forever Cemetery on Saturday for Cinespia's "Kirsten Dunst Slumber Party," celebrating the 25th anniversaries of *Bring It On

and *The Virgin Suicides*.

"I'm T-T-Torrance, your captain Torrance," she greeted the audience, quoting her signature line from *Bring It On*. "Let's go, Toros!"

Dunst, visibly moved by the occasion, confessed, "Oh my god, you guys. This is the craziest thing I've ever witnessed in my life. I am so overwhelmed. My friends and family are here, I'm gonna watch with you guys. I haven't seen any of these movies since I was a teen myself, with an audience. I'm so honoured."

Before introducing the first film, she expressed her gratitude to Cinespia and founder John Wyatt.

Dunst starred in Peyton Reed's *Bring It On

as Torrance Shipman, a high school cheerleading captain navigating the world of competitive cheerleading after discovering that her team's winning cheers were stolen from their rivals. The film co-stars Eliza Dushku and Gabrielle Union.

In a video posted to Instagram, Dunst could be seen singing along to the opening cheer scene, showcasing her enduring connection to the film.

Sofia Coppola's directorial debut, *The Virgin Suicides*, features Dunst as Lux Lisbon, one of five sisters living in a secluded suburban home in 1975. The film, based on Jeffrey Eugenides' novel of the same name, follows the sisters through the eyes of the neighbourhood boys, culminating in a tragic ending. Alongside Dunst, the film stars Josh Hartnett, James Woods, Kathleen Turner, AJ Cook, Jonathan Tucker, and Robert Schwartzman.

Cinespia's summer 2024 season concludes on Saturday, September 14th with a screening of *Pee-wee's Big Adventure

(1985) in tribute to the late Paul Reubens, who is laid to rest at Hollywood Forever.
