Kennedy Davenport Almost Starred on "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 9"

Kennedy Davenport, the runner-up on *RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars 3*, has revealed that she was almost cast on *All Stars 9*.

Davenport, known for her incredible dancing skills and fierce runway presence, shared at an *All Stars 9

viewing party that she was an "alternate" for the season. This means that she was on standby to join the cast if any of the original queens had to drop out. While no such situation arose, Davenport was left waiting for her return to the *Drag Race* stage.

Despite missing out on *All Stars 9*, Davenport's fans won't have to wait long to see her back on television. She has just been cast on *Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs The World

season two, a spin-off of the Canadian *Drag Race* series featuring queens from around the world.

Speaking at Roscoe's Tavern in Chicago alongside season 16 queen Plasma, Davenport explained that she was "an alternate for this", pointing to the TV screen during the viewing party.

When asked about why she didn't make the *All Stars 9

cut, Davenport jokingly stated that the casting team "sent her up to Canada instead." She went on to say, "Yeah, because they knew I was f**king mad. They said, ‘Oh, you’re not gonna…’ I said, ‘Oh, I’m not gonna be on the show?’ [They replied,] ‘We gonna go take you to Canada.’ [I said] Oh, I’m not doing Canada if… I need a guarantee. I need to be guaranteed."

Davenport also joked that the judges on *All Stars 9

would have had something negative to say about her performances if she had been on the show. The current season has a charitable focus, with the judges offering encouragement and positive critiques rather than harsh criticism.

Following her comments, *Out

magazine reached out to Davenport's representatives, who confirmed that her statements at the viewing party provided a "complete" view of the situation.

Davenport will appear on *Canada's Drag Race: Canada vs The World

season two alongside fellow *Drag Race* legends Eureka! and Alexis Mateo. She will also be joined by Canadian queens Lemon, Tynomi Banks, and Miss Fiercalicious, as well as *Drag Race UK* queens Cheryl Hole and Le Fil, and *Drag Race France* first eliminee La Kahena.

Season two of *Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs. The World

will premiere on July 19 on BBC iPlayer in the UK, Crave in Canada, and WOW Presents Plus globally.
